"Swing Bed" is a term used to describe a concept in the delivery of medical care. The program weas implemented at LCH in 1981. Swing beds allow a patient to receive the appropriate level of care to meet his/her specific needs while still in a hospital setting.

Our patients are important to us, and we are here when you or a family member is covering from an illness, surgery or an accident. Patients may require rehabilitation, wound care, nursing observation or extended IV (intravenous) therapy after surgery and hospitalization. Lindsborg Community Hospital skilled care services are intended for patients who are too ill to return to their homes, but no longer require acute care received in the hospital. We provide our patients the opportunity to transition smoothly and safely from an acute hospital setting to skilled care and finally to their homes or previous living environment. The skilled nursing program is committed to helping patients get their lives back and able to do the things that make life worth living.

Our team of care providers includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social worker and the primary care physician who collaborate to form a plan of care that promotes recovery.

We offer an impressive array of skilled care services to our patients and provide the ideal environment for patients whose conditions have stabilized but who still need an extra measure of care.
