The Hospital Auxiliary and Ken Swisher prepare to give the hospital a check for $4500 toward the purchase of a bladder scanner. The check represented memorial gifts to the Auxiliary in honor of Virginia Swisher. A total of $4680 was received by the hospital and auxiliary.

The scanner will enhance patient care by eliminating unnecessary and invasive procedures, and will reduce the potential for infection that exists with any invasive procedure. The remaining balance of the scanner, with a list price of around $10,000.00 will be paid by the Nurses' Club.

Director of Marketing and Development, Betty Nelson said "We are honored her family selected our Auxiliary as a way for those who knew and loved Virginia to honor her memory. Virginia was a dedicated member of the Hospital Board of Directors for many years. Virginia and Kenny have been dedicated supporters of the hospital and auxiliary, and we are appreciative to everyone that made a contribution."

Auxiliary members Ione Toll, Sue Dahlsten and Carolyn Gibson and Ken Swisher prepare to present the check to the hospital for the scanner purchase as Rhonda Finney,RN, Nursing Director Beth Hedberg, RN, Lara Reid, RN, and Kim Penn, RN observe.
