Lindsborg Community Hospital to host drive-thru flu shot clinic Oct. 10th
Lindsborg Community Hospital will host a drive-thru flu shot clinic in anticipation of the upcoming flu season. The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.
The event provides a safe and convenient way to receive the annual influenza vaccine for optimal coverage at the beginning of the flu season. Vaccinations are open to the public and participants are not required to be a patient at Lindsborg Community Hospital’s Family Health Care Clinic. Participants are asked to enter the hospital’s south parking lot off West Grant Street and exit onto Lincoln Street after receiving the vaccine. Before exiting, each vehicle will receive a free Community Ready Kit, an ammo box packed with first-aid supplies, mental health resources and health information guides designed to provide practical resources for individuals and families when they need them most.
Licensed health care professionals will administer the vaccines according to recommendations. A non-egg-based vaccine option will be available for individuals with egg allergies. Patrons should bring their insurance card and driver’s license, and are recommended to wear short sleeves for ease of vaccine administration.
Registration forms can be completed in advance to reduce wait times. Forms are available at the hospital entrance or online at www.lindsborghospital.org.
Flu shots also are available at the Urgent Care Clinic during regular business hours starting October 1. For additional information, please visit the hospital website or contact the clinic at 785-227-3371.
